In short: we collect only what you give us on the waiting list form, we use it to contact you about the pilot, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@ojajaride.com.

1. Who we are

OJAJA Smart Mobility Ltd ("OJAJA", "we", "us") is a company registered in Nigeria, with its operating base at Ojaja Mall, Ajah, Lagos State. We provide electric ride-hailing, fleet management and charging services.

For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we do not collect

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts or social media trackers. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across other websites.

3. Why we may lawfully hold it

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time, and we will delete your details.

4. How we store it

Waiting list entries are held in two places: an email notification sent to our own mailbox, and a file stored on our web hosting account outside the publicly accessible part of the server. Access is restricted to authorised personnel of OJAJA.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for marketing purposes. Your data may be processed by the following service providers acting on our behalf:

We may also disclose personal data where we are required to do so by Nigerian law, a court order, or a lawful request from a regulator or law enforcement agency.

When the service launches

Once ride-hailing operations begin, we will process trip data including pickup and drop-off locations, route and journey times, in order to provide the service and to support the safety monitoring described on our website, which is delivered with our geospatial technology partner EcoGIS. We will publish an updated policy covering that processing before the service goes live, and we will notify everyone on the waiting list when we do.

6. How long we keep it

We keep waiting list entries until the pilot launches and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can contact you about the service, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner. If you tell us you are no longer interested, we delete your record.

7. Your rights

Under Nigerian data protection law you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email info@ojajaride.com. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

8. Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Waiting list data is stored outside the public web directory and is not reachable by a web address. We restrict access to authorised personnel. No system is completely secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay if a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights.

9. Children

This website and our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes

We will update this policy as our service develops, in particular before ride-hailing operations begin. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
